Oxbend Windsor Chair

The Oxbend Windsor chair, incorporates the first serious steam-bent pieces. It’s Fernweh’s first time working with green wood (as opposed to kiln dried), and watching green wood rebel against the intensity of steam bending, but eventually conform to its new shape after being dried properly in a form, is extremely satisfying. It’s incredibly stable after going through such an extreme shape-shift, and the whole process is awe inspiring.

Born from a desire to create a dining chair that was comfortable, organic, and elegant in its simplicity, the Oxbend incorporates subtle hand-shaped curves and classic wedged-tenon leg joinery. Doubling as an occasional chair or a bedroom valet chair, the Oxbend is versatile and minimal; it seeks to complement your existing furniture.

The Oxbend Leather Seat Pad and Backrest:

These leather seat pads fit the Oxbend Chair or Bar Stool. They incorporate a non-slip pad in the bottom to keep them in place on the chair. Available in our five different high quality Sørenson upholstery leathers: Black, Olive, Walnut, Saddle Brown, or Nubuck Ecru, sourced from Denmark.

The Oxbend Leather Seat Backrest turns our classic Oxbend Windsor Chair into an extremely comfortable fully upholstered dining chair specifically designed to add additional cushioning and comfort.
